Tim Allen, born Timothy Alan Dick on June 13, 1953, in Denver, Colorado, is a renowned American actor and comedian best known for his roles as Tim "The Toolman" Taylor on the TV show "Home Improvement" and as the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the "Toy Story" franchise. Facing adversity early in life, including the tragic death of his father in a car accident and a period of imprisonment for drug possession, Allen found solace and success in stand-up comedy in the late 1970s.

His comedic career gained momentum with appearances in Detroit comedy clubs and national exposure on shows like "The Tonight Show."
