Marion Kracht
Marion Bettina Kracht (born 5 December 1962) is a German actress, voice artist, theater director, and author. She is known for her many film, television, and theater roles, and has built a reputation for her versatility and enduring presence in the German entertainment industry.
Marion Kracht first appeared on camera at the age of five, acting in children’s series and TV productions. Later, she took acting lessons in Munich, at the Herbert Berghoff Acting School in New York, and in improvisation courses by Keith Johnstone. She has performed in both television and on stage across Germany.
Her notable roles include appearances in the TV series Diese Drombuschs, Hallo Robbie!, Der Havelkaiser, and Familie Sonnenfeld. She also acted in films such as Mein Führer – Die wirklich wahrste Wahrheit über Adolf Hitler, and appeared in the acclaimed series Babylon Berlin. For her role Lore in the film Schlaf, she was nominated for the German Film Award in the category “Best Supporting Actress.” She was awarded the Silberne Kamera in 1985 as a favorite actress and received the Federal Cross of Merit in 2002 for her social engagement.
Marion Kracht lives in Berlin with her husband, the architect Berthold Manns, and their two sons. She also works as a voice artist (audiobooks, commercials), teaches acting, and participates in social and cultural projects.
Marion Kracht is left-handed. During our image research, we found numerous photos of her cooking and eating with her left hand. Videos of her appearances in TV series clearly show how she acts and gestures with her left hand.
