Leonie Ebert

Leonie Ebert (4 October 1999 – ) is a German foil fencer representing Germany in international competitions. She is best known for her achievements at German national championships and for winning the gold medal at the 2022 European Fencing Championships.

Ebert began fencing in 2008 at TG Würzburg and moved in 2012 to the fencing club FC Tauberbischofsheim. She later fenced for Future Fencing Werbach. She is also a soldier-athlete in the sports promotion group of the German Bundeswehr in Mainz.

Among her most significant national achievements are multiple German championship titles in foil individual (including 2019) and in the team event (2017, 2018, 2019). Internationally, she became European champion in the women’s foil individual event in 2022 in Antalya. She also won medals at junior and team European Championships, including a bronze medal with the German team in 2017 in Tbilisi. At the 2020 Olympic Games, she competed in the women’s individual foil event.

Ebert continues her athletic career and is regarded as one of the most outstanding German fencers of her generation, with great potential for further international success.
