Bekannte linkshändige Trumpeters
Traditionally, trumpets are designed for right-handed players. This means that the instrument is held so that the right hand operates the valves, while the left hand is used primarily for stabilization and sometimes for operating the damper or for fine tuning.
On a trumpet adapted for left-handers, the arrangement of the valves could theoretically be modified so that they are on the left side, allowing a left-handed player to operate the valves with their left hand. A true left-handed trumpet would be a custom design or modification of the standard design. It would require reversing the valve mechanics and possibly the entire tube layout to allow for ergonomic left-handed operation. Such instruments are not common and must be ordered.
